Blood Donation

Relieving the burden of those affected by disasters in various regions in Indonesia, PT Angkasa Pura Solusi (APS) held a Blood Donation inside the Terminal 3, Medical Service Assistant at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Monday (26/11).

The Blood Donation Act entitled One for the Soul and Life is a collaboration between PT Angkasa Pura Solusi (APS) and the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in North Jakarta. Lasted for 3 hours from 10:00 a.m. - 13:00 p.m., the APS blood donor CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activity was welcomed with high enthusiasm, both from service users and employees of Soekarno-Hatta airport.

123 people registered to become donors. However, 29 of them were declared not recommended to be donors because they did not meet the specified conditions, such as hemoglobin levels too high or low, the condition of the body not fit, menstruating, or during medical treatment. From donors who passed the requirements, PMI managed to collect 94 blood bags.

In this action, the enthusiasm of visitors who were interested in participating in the blood donation program was spotted. Unfortunately, not all prospective donors can be accepted due to limited time.  According to the PMI SOP, blood bags cannot be stored in a cooler box for more than 3 hours. Therefore, the event was dismissed at exactly 1:00 p.m. although there were still a number of potential donors who visited the location.

APS plans to hold this blood donation program regularly as a form of corporate responsibility to contribute to advancing the health condition of the nation.

This event was also made successful by several partners of PT Angkasa Pura Solusi Bank Rakyat Indonesia, HP, and Blue Sky Lounge, each of which provided a gimmick for donors. Through this blood donation action, PT Angkasa Pura Solusi strives to continue promoting CSR activities for the interests of the wider community.
