Operation & Maintenance unit of PT IAS Support Indonesia (IASS) is engaged in the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical and electronic facilities located at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
The number of our Operation & Maintenance technicians are now numbering up to 177 personnel. They are in charge of carrying out maintenance, repair and monitoring of the hardware and software performance at the airport area in regular basis.
The Operation & Maintenance of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport has been managed by PT IASS since 2017.

Service Description
The daily main task of Operation & Maintenance technicians is to carry out operations, preventive as well as corrective maintenance of electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment based on the SLA (Service Level Agreement) between employers and workers.
Electrical equipment in question, such as LVMDP and MVMPD panels, transformers, floodlights and UPS. While for mechanical equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, elevators, fire systems, escalators, travellators, air conditioners and Airplane Bridge Connecting (Garbarata). The ESSF equipment includes the Walk Through Metal Detector (WTMD), Hand Held Metal Detector (HHMD), body scanner, and X-Ray machine.
In the operation of mechanical and electrical equipment, the technicians have the duty to carry out the operation of the equipment according to the schedule. The job needs proper and correct processing according to the SOP. Technicians are also responsible for recovering equipment that has a fault.
The maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and ESSF (Electronic Safety & Security Facility) equipment consists of two types prevention and corrective. Preventive care is carried out to prevent damage to equipment during the operation. Activities in preventive care include routine cleaning, tightening and testing of equipment record maintenance activities in the logbook and logger historical chart in time (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly), conduct analysis and identification of damage to repair, testing and evaluation of equipment, reporting and documenting all maintenance activities for evaluation materials.
While in corrective care, technicians are tasked with carrying out the recovery of disturbances that take a long time on electrical, mechanical, and ESSF equipment, even for unscheduled circumstances.
The scope of work, the Operation Maintenance unit is responsible for carrying out the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical and ESSF equipment in 2 areas the air side and land side. In the air side work area which covers runaway, taxiway, and apron. While on the land side area, the work area for technicians includes terminals, equipment or utilities, and other buildings outside the terminal, such as VVIP and parking areas.
In carrying out its duties, the technicians apply the 5 M service standard Man, Machine, Material, Method, and Money. The standard of Operation & Maintenance services is in synergy with SKEP 157 / IX / 03 issued by the Director General of Civil Aviation regarding Guidelines for Maintenance and Reporting of Electronic Facilities and Electricity Flight Equipment.
To improve the quality of personels, the Operation & Maintenance unit also includes technicians in lightning education (training). Informal training is carried out through training by specialists from manufacture. The formal training was also conducted at STPI Curug Tangerang with certification from the Ministry of Transportation.
